Thanks for your interest in the Mobile PC 99 Industry Review. We would like to extend an invitation for you to participate in this Intel sponsored event, in conjunction with Microsoft*, to review and discuss the mobile specific technology recommendations for the PC 99 design guide. The meeting will be a non-NDA event that will provide an open forum to address mobile design challenges and how they relate to PC 99, specifically, Mobile Chapter 6.

The meeting will be held on Monday, May 4, 1998 in the auditorium of Intel's Ronler Acres facility in Hillsboro, Oregon from 9:30am - 4pm. We have provided driving directions from Portland airport to the Ronler Acres facility, as well as lodging options for those that will need to stay either before or after the event. We ask that you please register for the event by Friday, May 1, 1998 so we can have an accurate headcount.

In preparation for the meeting, we have posted the latest revision (0.7) of the mobile chapter which was just released with many new updates. We have also provided a feedback email address that will go directly to the mobile chapter owners at Intel and Microsoft*. Please use this address for providing input on mobile chapter 6 both before and after the event. This will help alleviate the difficulties in extracting mobile specific feedback from the overwhelming amount of emails coming into the pc99@intel.com and pc99@microsoft.com websites.

Please note: This version does not contain the new proposed format structure. Due to the timing of the May 4th event, we considered it more important to have the version with the latest content changes posted for review. We are still working with the technical writers to best structure the mobile chapter in order to reduce confusion and cross referencing issues within PC 99. We plan to have a proposal for review during next week's meeting. Also, no content changes will be affected with any restructuring.
